About SMH Academy
Overview
SMH Academy provides residential mental health treatment for young adult men, ages 18 through 25, addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions. The program's treatment model addresses environment, nutrition, physical exercise, sleep, personal hygiene, spirituality, and community engagement, alongside individual talk therapy and medication management where clinically indicated.
Leadership
Courtney Parker, PMHNP-BC Medical Director
Courtney Parker is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and serves as Medical Director of SMH Academy. In this role, she oversees the clinical direction of the program, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and clinical program development. Clinical and Support Team
SMH Academy's team includes talk therapists, life coaches, and a practice manager, working alongside the Medical Director to support each resident's individualized treatment plan.
Talk Therapists. Provide individual psychotherapy tailored to each resident's diagnosis and treatment goals.
Life Coaches. Support residents in building daily structure, life skills, and functional habits consistent with the program's treatment approach.
Practice Manager. Oversees day-to-day administrative operations of the program.
